Application Analyst – Clinical Information Systems – Pharmacy

JOB DUTIES

This Analyst position coordinates the interaction between hospital clinical users of computer applications, the Clinical Information Systems Department and related vendor interaction. Consults with and assists users in making the most effective use of computer applications through training, testing, system monitoring, and problem resolution. This position involves documentation, testing and implementation of applications and ongoing enhancements. Candidate should have experience working in all phases of application system analysis and project management activities. Assessment of business needs and implementation of information technologies through research and analysis. Provides system solutions which meet customer needs and Community Health Systems strategic goals. Initial focus will be governance and support of Pharmacy Systems.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 
Hospital Pharmacy and Information Systems experience.

Experience with McKesson HMM (Horizon Meds Manager).

Proven ability as a Pharmacy Applications Analyst.

Experience installing, building and supporting Pharmacy applications.

Experience testing, training and evaluating clinical systems.

A working knowledge of Pharmacy processes, procedures and workflows.

Excellent communication, presentation and communication skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience with HMS (Healthcare Management Systems)

Experience with Keane Clinical Systems

Experience with Meditech Clinical Systems.

Experience with Pharmacy related HL7 interfaces.

Working knowledge of Crystal Reports

Experience with Project Management

Experience with AcuDose, Omnicell, or Pyxis Automated Dispensing Machines
